trying to bring beauty and order into a busy life

It seems that I have been buying wicker boxes and baskets for many years. Different sizes, different sets… but I was getting a bit tired of the boring wicker colour. I wanted something a bit more colourful, more personal, so I thought about painting them. Painting wicker boxes
Choose your paints
I didn’t want to buy big pots of paint that I might not use again so instead, I bought a couple of paint sample pots in my local DIY shop. It is a great option as it allows you to buy more adventurous colours without a big investment.

The only trick to paint wicker is to have a good brush and to make sure that the paint gets into every nuke and cranny. You might have to go over the same area a couple of times.Painted wickers baskets
It has been a subtle change, nothing radical, but the little bit of colours have given the baskets a new lease of live and they look much fresher now.

I hope you like them.
