Organising Chaos

trying to bring beauty and order into a busy life

Chaotic Monkey had decided he wanted a How To Train your Dragon party for his 5th party. I may or may not have tried to change his mind to an easier theme but he was very much set on the idea of a Toothless Party, so I had to put on my creative hat on and come up with ideas.

I searched the internet and I found that there is a lot out there: decorations, banners, cake toppers… if you are willing to pay for it, which I wasn’t. Most of our budget was going towards a bouncy castle for the back garden and the rest would be spent on food, drinks and sweets, so there would be very little left for decorations. Fortunately, I also found a lot of inspiration on the net and after watching the film again (and again, and again) I came up with few ideas for the party.

I will share more details about the party next week. Right now, I am just happy that he loved it, that all kids had a great time, that there was no injuries (always a plus!) and that it is over. No more children’s parties for 10 months…

  1. Fantastic….I was wondering how on earth you’d manage a theme like that!
