Decorating with plants - hanging vases with flowers

I am very much a plant girl. I love having plants everywhere at home. They make any space instantly more homely and they give me a sense of peace.

Lately I have started buying fresh flowers at the market every week. I love the burst of colour and their fabulous smells around the house.
Although I love having a vase with colourful flowers in the middle of the table, I find that ultimately is not very practical for the kind of busy life we lead (between meals, homework, crafts and games, they keep been moved around and they end up with no “home”), so I had been looking for different ways to display flowers around the house.
This idea is very simple but so beautiful.
By hanging them on the wall, they become park of your wall decor as if they were a picture. And if you change them often, they give your walls a simple, cheap and instant update without been too intrusive
All you need is some twine, scissors and two glass small containers.

Get one end of the twine and wrap it three times around one of the vases and tie a knot.

Decide how long you want your twine to be. The length of your twine will determine how much your hangers will… well, hang… (sorry…)
Wrap the other end three times around your other container and tie a knot.

Now add water and your lovely flowers and choose where you want to hang them.
This is also a lovely project to update jam jars.

Have a lovely day people!
